Yarelis Turns Her Passion into Tesoros de Papel Stationery
For Yarelis Talavera, a passion for stationery and creativity is becoming a new business venture. In September 2026, she officially registered her DBA, Tesoros de Papel Stationery, marking an exciting milestone in her entrepreneurial journey.
Yarelis has been connected with the NEW Women’s Business Center (WBC) since June 2023, taking advantage of training, consulting, and business resources to turn her idea into action. She has participated in 10 WBC training events, totaling 19 hours, and has received guidance from WBC Business Consultants Cynthia Ramirez and Lily Alger.
Her WBC journey has included completing the 12 Steps for Launching a Business Training Series, for which she earned a WBC Certificate of Completion. She also participated in workshops including Corp. vs. LLC: Choosing the Right Structure for Your Business and Trademark Basics, gaining a stronger understanding of business registration, legal considerations, and protecting her brand.
After working through the business registration process with WBC, Yarelis celebrated the approval of her DBA, Tesoros de Papel Stationery. Her next steps include completing the DBA publication process and continuing with WBC support as she works toward obtaining her EIN, Seller’s Permit, and Business Tax Registration Certificate (BTRC).
Yarelis’s story is a great example of how consistent participation, education, and one-on-one counseling can help entrepreneurs move from an idea to a formally registered business. Her journey continues and the WBC is proud to be part of each step along the way.
