This small restaurant is in the city of Pacoima. Since 2009, it has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/PupuseriaCuzcatlan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">delighting our community with authentic Salvadorian food<\/a>. Like other establishments in its field, it has been seriously affected by the current pandemic. In September 2020, she saw on the NEW Women&#8217;s Business Center Facebook page, that there was an organization helping Hispanic small businesses to obtain financial aid. With the help of her daughter-in-law, she contacted our offices to seek that support.<\/p>\n<p>With the NEW-WBC help, Mrs. Mar\u00eda applied to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), Economic Impact Disaster Loans (EIDL) and LA COVID Relief Fund. Pupuseria Cuzcatlan got both loans (PPP and EIDL), which allowed her to cover part of her restaurant business expenses and keep her own job and the other 4 part time jobs during this tough season.
