{"id":17864,"date":"2022-03-03T17:04:14","date_gmt":"2022-03-04T01:04:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.new-wbc.org\/?p=17864"},"modified":"2022-03-03T17:04:14","modified_gmt":"2022-03-04T01:04:14","slug":"awbc-association-of-womens-business-centers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.new-wbc.org\/es\/2022\/03\/awbc-association-of-womens-business-centers\/","title":{"rendered":"AWBC &#8211; Association of Women&#8217;s \ufeffBusiness Centers"},"content":{"rendered":"<div align=\"left\">The AWBC &#8211; Association of Women&#8217;s Business Centers Board meeting in Washington Dc is bringing the different Directors to discuss the 3 Pillars of Support the centers need:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Pillar 1 &#8211; Advocacy<\/li>\n<li>Pillar 2 &#8211; Universal Standardization\u00a0Across the WBC community<\/li>\n<li>Pillar 3 &#8211; Training and Mentorship Support for WBC Programs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\">I am a member of the board and attended the Board meeting, which includes a visit to the House of Representatives and the Senate. The meetings will be with Representative Doris Matsui, Nancy Pelosi, Salud Carbajal, Jason Crow, French Hill, Jimmy Gomez, Russ Fulcher and Senator Jim Risch, Ben Cardin. The delegation will also have a meeting with the Honorable Isabelle Casillas Guzman, Administrator for SBA at her office.<\/div>\n<div align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\">The Women&#8217;s Business Centers are a critical component of the SBA&#8217;s entrepreneurial ecosystem. WBCs were created to assist small businesses primarily owned by women, many of whom are socially and economically disadvantaged.The WBC program funds more than 130 non profits organizations that provide advising\u00a0and training\u00a0services,\u00a0many provide\u00a0multilingual services.
