The event offered inspiration, connection, and a shared vision for a greener future.<br><br>The program opened promptly at\u00a0<strong>1:00 PM<\/strong>\u00a0with a warm welcome and opening remarks, setting the tone for a meaningful and energizing gathering. Attendees were then invited to rise for the\u00a0<strong>National Anthem<\/strong>, \u201cThe Star-Spangled Banner,\u201d a stirring reminder of the unity and pride that grounds our shared efforts to protect the planet.<br><br>Following the anthem, we heard from an impactful lineup of\u00a0<strong>distinguished speakers<\/strong>:<strong>Yumi Sera<\/strong>, Executive Director of OCPSC, opened the speaker segment with insightful reflections on the importance of collaboration in driving environmental progress.<strong>Braden Kay<\/strong>, Program Manager for Extreme Heat &amp; Community Resilience, offered an informative look at how cities are adapting to rising temperatures and supporting vulnerable populations.<br><br><strong>Juan Carillo<\/strong>, Assemblymember of California\u2019s 39th District, emphasized the role of legislation in creating long-term environmental change and shared current efforts underway at the state level.<br>After the speakers concluded, guests had the opportunity to take\u00a0<strong>photos with Felix Menendez<\/strong>, capturing the spirit of the day and celebrating shared commitments to sustainability.
