We Create Success – Love Bisou

Last Updated: marzo 27th, 2023By Categories: Blog en español1,9 min read

Destiny Pina, the business owner of Love Bisou, is currently a business administration student of CSUN. Her business started as a project for the university, and she has taken it to be a profitable company. She is one of the California Dream Fund Winners. Her business is an e-commerce that sells women’s shoes and is unique because she focuses on bringing timeless shoes to her clients that are trending and can be mixed and matched with almost everything.

Destiny’s passion for business has taken her far with her entrepreneurship and has made her a successful owner in the midst of the pandemic and is an example of a woman that kept moving forward despite the circumstances; these are her words expressed during a one-on-one session: “My love for fashion and interest in business during the pandemic inspired me to start a business. I wanted to combine my interest in business while still doing something that I enjoy. After some research, I noticed there was a need for shoe-boutiques in my area and captured the opportunity by starting an online business that aligned with both my personal and professional needs”.

“Along with all the hard work that goes into building a business comes an emotional roller-coaster. There are some days when you want to give up or maybe even quit but it takes time and consistency to see the sun at the end of the tunnel. As we continue to grow, that is the hardest thing of all, to remember why I started the business and to keep pushing even if now it seems like nothing is working, keep moving forward,” said Destiny.

NEW-WBC helped Destiny to complete her Business Plan and work on her financial projections, giving a clearer direction of the business finances. She has taken workshops as the series of MADE in LA, and some webinars that strengthen her knowledge.

“NEW-WBC has provided the support which has positively impacted my business outcomes by providing financial guidance, resources, and motivation to keep going. In some cases, lack of funds can be a real burden. The center helped me when I needed to keep moving forward in a time where I was facing challenges.
