| The 2025 Women in Entertainment Conference – Empowering Voices, Inspiring Change brought together emerging creatives, visionary storytellers, and passionate entrepreneurs to celebrate and support the advancement of women in the entertainment industry. This year, 9 remarkable short film nominees participated to receive the 2025 Filmic Brilliance Award—each using the power of film to express identity, culture, resilience, and creativity. Hosted by NEW-Women Business Center, this event was designed to educate and uplift women entrepreneurs, offering a dynamic platform to define their roles in the entertainment world and beyond. Nominees not only showcased their short films but also some of them engaged in panels, workshops, and community building aimed at long-term growth and industry impact.  About the Film: “I’m In Love” is a powerful spoken word narrative written, produced, and performed by Havilah herself. Directed by Roberta Sparta in her cinematic debut, the film takes viewers on a visual and emotional journey—one that explores identity, healing, and the quiet, courageous work of self-love. Rooted in poetic storytelling and cultural truth, the film was created by a women-led, multicultural team committed to authenticity and artistic excellence. As a proud client of the NEW Women’s Business Center, Havilah credits programs like 12 Steps to Launching a Business for helping her lay the groundwork for her creative career—guiding her through establishing her DBA, securing a California Tax Registration Certificate, and launching her production company.
