Information session on the Beneficial Ownership Information Report
The Beneficial Ownership Information Report (BOIR) is a document that most general stock corporations and LLCs formed since January 1, 2024 must file with the U.S. Department of Treasury, Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. There are exemptions, and these will be discussed during this information session. While the Corporate Transparency Act which encompasses the BOIR requirement is under legal challenge, until a next step legal decision is rendered, submitting the BOIR is required. The penalties for not complying are significant. You have 90 days from the date of forming your business entity to comply.
During this information session we will provide an overview tutorial on how to fill out the BOIR, and discuss the process of determining your answers to the Report questions.
