| World Entrepreneurs’ Day is celebrated annually on August 21 (at NEW this year it will be on August 19) to honor the visionaries who turn ideas into reality, driving innovation, economic growth, and societal progress. This global observance is an initiative of the United Nations, first observed in 2010, with the goal of raising public awareness about the importance of entrepreneurship in driving sustainable economic growth and reducing poverty. It is a day to recognize the contributions of entrepreneurs worldwide and to encourage the development of strong entrepreneurial ecosystems. At NEW Women’s Business Center, we know that entrepreneurship is often a true labor of love — filled with dedication, resilience, and a passion for making a difference. Every day, we witness the transformation that happens when business owners receive the right support, guidance, and resources to thrive. This year, we are celebrating a little earlier — on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 — with a special event at the Tom Bradley Tower, Los Angeles City Hall. Our program will highlight the incredible impact entrepreneurs have on our communities, while equipping them with practical tools for growth. The agenda includes: Government Contracting – Insights on securing contracts at the city, county, state, and federal levelsExporting – Opportunities for taking products and services to global marketsAccess to Capital – Resources to fund and scale your business. All of this will take place against the backdrop of the breathtaking 360-degree views of Los Angeles, making it not only an inspiring afternoon of learning and networking, but also a celebration to remember.
