Meet your friendly NEW Women’s Business Center team

Supporting Small Business in LA County

New Economics for Women has put together a team of experts to take care of the Women’s Business Center. The NEW-WBC will have its headquarters in Canoga Park, with another location in Van Nuys. In addition to all the workshops and one-on-one consultations, the program will expand in the months to come with an “On the Road Program” taking the much-needed program to different communities and organizations around Los Angeles County.

The NEW Women’s Business Center provides resources and tools to ensure women entrepreneurs are on the right track for economic independence through small business ownership.

For over 34 years, New Economics for Women (NEW) had been driven by a mission to build economic mobility for women, especially Latinas and their families, through wealth creation, housing, education, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement. This includes creating permanent solutions to poverty, more housing opportunities and knowledge platforms that generate economic mobility, stabilize households and powerfully demonstrate the promise and economic influence of women and their families.

NEW helps transform economic mindsets, change gender dynamics and create a cradle of knowledge and wealth that can be passed onto future generations.

Entrepreneurship develops organically out of NEW’s innovative spirit, becoming key to propelling women beyond stability to wealth creation that also extends to their families.

The NEW Mission

To improve generational economic mobility for families through wealth creation, entrepreneurship and housing.
