How to Write a Screenplay Part 1 of 2 – Entertainment WIE

How do you take your ideas and turn them into a screenplay? In this session, we go through the process of coming up with your ideas, creating notecards about individual plot points, creating your characters, and coming up with your treatment, which is a summation of your story. We will also discuss some strategies for creating your long outline and beginning your actual writing process. We debate whether it is better to write from top to bottom or write individual scenes in whatever order inspires you. The correct answer… there is no right or wrong, but what gets you to finish that first draft!
