SBA EIDL LOAN APPLICATION SUPPORT CENTER IN MONTEREY PARK
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is providing low-interest loans to small businesses and nonprofits economically impacted by the Monterey Park shooting and related investigation that occurred January 21-28, 2023.
For business owners that need guidance or assistance in applying for these low-interest loans, the City of Monterey Park, in partnership with U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and Pacific Asian Consortium in Employment (PACE), will be hosting an SBA EIDL Application Support Center.
These working capital loans may be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable, and other bills that can’t be paid because of the disaster’s impact. Disaster loans can help businesses overcome the temporary loss of revenue they are experiencing.

The Support Center will offer free application assistance educational sessions to provide information and guidance on the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program.
During these sessions, you will have the opportunity to learn about the EIDL program and how it can benefit your business. The SBA representatives will discuss the eligibility criteria, loan terms, application process, and the types of economic injury that qualify for assistance in English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Thai, and Spanish. You can also ask questions and receive personalized advice regarding your specific business situation in these languages. In addition, there will be live information sessions with real-time translations available twice a day.
Business assistance services offered at the Center include:
- Educational sessions – learn more about the EIDL program and who qualifies.
- One-on-one support to small business owners – meet with an advisor to ask questions in various languages.
- Assistance applying for the EIDL loan program
- work with an advisor to help guide you through the application process.
Walk-ins will also be welcome to the SBA EIDL Application Support Center.
