LA Maintenance Services, LLC

LA Maintenance Services was founded by Yesenia Iraheta in 2017.  Her goal in starting LA Maintenance Service was to have control over her schedule as well as potential earnings.

Ms. Iraheta is a single mother and loves the fact that being an entrepreneur gives her flexibility with her schedule allowing time to spend with her children.

Up until now, the target market for LA Maintenance Services has been shopping centers and homeowners.  The business currently has seven contracts with shopping centers and multiple residential clients.  

Yesenia reports that NEW has helped her so much.  She is currently going through the government contract courses at NEW in the hopes that she can increase her business, hire additional staff, and secure a couple of contracts doing maintenance for one of the local government sites.  

Yesenia has also gone through the LivePlan Business Plan courses.  She has signed up for LivePlan so that she can create a business plan for her business.  Ms. Iraheta understands that a business plan is one way to assist her in becoming more successful in her business.  She feels that the LivePlan platform is easy to use and provides the resources she needs to create a viable plan.  She will be using her business plan as a road map to level up her business to new heights and to apply for funding.  

At New Economics for Women (NEW) our mission is to spark economic mobility for all women and families, particularly Latinas, through wealth creation, housing, education, entrepreneurship, and advocacy for women and their families.  Yesenia Iraheta is one example of how NEW is meeting its mission.
