Graduates of the “Dream Builder” Program Shine at Latina Biz Expo

On May 23rd, during the Latina Biz Expo event, the first cohort of graduates from the NEW Women’s Business Center’s “Dream Builder” program was celebrated. This group of entrepreneurs successfully completed an intensive program designed to help them develop a solid and viable Business Plan using the innovative online Dream Builder platform. Throughout the course, the participants received support through Zoom sessions and in-person meetings with specialized consultants who provided personalized advice and support to enhance their business ideas.

The “Dream Builder” program not only focused on theory but also encouraged practical application of the acquired knowledge through the organization of a Business Ideas Competition. Most of the graduates actively participated in this competition, presenting innovative and viable proposals that reflected their passion and creativity. This competition became a platform for the entrepreneurs to validate their ideas, receive constructive feedback, and prepare their projects for the real market. The prizes for the competition were sponsored by Mission Valley Bank and TMC Community Capital.

The culmination of this process was the graduation event at the Latina Biz Expo, where the participants received their certificates and well-deserved recognition. The winners of the Business Ideas Competition were specially highlighted, celebrating their exceptional achievements and efforts. This event not only marked a milestone in their personal and professional lives but also symbolized the NEW Women’s Business Center’s commitment to empowering and developing women entrepreneurs by providing them with the necessary tools and support to build and realize their business dreams.
