The Pow and their Inspiring Journey

Last Updated: December 16th, 2024By Categories: Blog1.7 min read
Bianca Garrison-Quick and her husband decided to start a business during the pandemic. They launched POW Productions, a film production and creative powerhouse, with their own twist. The name? Inspired by her husband’s favorite word, “POW!”, something he shouts whenever he’s excited or celebrating a win. They figured it perfectly summed up the energy they bring to every project. From film production to drone photography, graphic design, branding, and content creation, they do it all. Their mission? To deliver bold, unforgettable results for independent filmmakers and small businesses. Bianca’s journey is all about following her passion. After years working in corporate digital marketing, she realized life was too short to not be doing what she loved. Partnering with her husband, she was able to combine her creativity and business savvy to carve out her own path in the entertainment industry and she’s having the time of her life doing it! Originally from Chicago and now living near L.A., Bianca loves being able to produce creative, impactful work while running a family-owned business with her husband. Bianca has accumulated over 20 hours of training and counseling sessions over the course of joining the NEW-WBC. She has been a crucial part of a number of networking events we have had in the past as a panelist that shared her successes and triumphs as an entrepreneur and even moderated our Entertainment Conference this past July, 2024. We are currently building an entertainment webinar focused on small business owners in media production.  The NEW Women’s Business Center has been a huge help in growing POW Productions. Through their events, Bianca connected with lenders and resources that helped her secure funding and take her business to the next level. “The Women’s Business Center is a total gem for women entrepreneurs. I’ve met some incredible women there who are now good friends, and their events are always top-notch. I’m super grateful for all the support they provide!” says Bianca.
