This week, Kelly Loeffler was sworn in as the 28th Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration
An entrepreneur, executive, philanthropist, and former U.S. Senator from Georgia, she has spent her three-decade career growing businesses and expanding economic opportunities. Raised on a farm in rural Illinois, Loeffler worked her way through public school and college, later earning an MBA and building a 25-year career in financial services and technology. She helped grow Intercontinental Exchange into a Fortune 500 company and founded Bakkt, a fintech startup focused on crypto asset infrastructure.

Appointed to the U.S. Senate in 2020, Loeffler championed small businesses, strengthened healthcare and veterans’ services, and promoted economic growth. A longtime WNBA team owner, she was the first senator to introduce legislation protecting girls’ sports. After her Senate tenure, she founded Greater Georgia Action, a voter outreach nonprofit, and RallyRight, a conservative tech startup, while serving on multiple corporate and philanthropic boards.

Loeffler holds degrees from the University of Illinois and DePaul University and is the only CFA charterholder to serve in Congress. A lifelong Catholic, she remains a strong advocate for pro-growth policies and President Trump’s America First agenda.
